2006-07 JROTC Events

Pictures from Washington, DC trip, October 20, 2006.

First Sergeant Ed Walls, one of Delsea’s Army Instructors for the JROTC, accompanied twenty JROTC cadets to Arlington National Cemetery to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Friday, October 20, 2006.

The Marine Corps League sent veterans of WWII, Korea, the Vietnam conflict and recent conflicts with Delsea’s cadets to Arlington.   These veterans shared their stories, struggles and personal sacrifices.  The corner stone of the veteran’s messages is and was “freedom is not free;” it has come at a high price and still demands a high price.

The Delsea students were able to share their experiences with cadets from Hillside High School and Irvington High School who accompanied the Delsea students on the trip.
