SWAMP MILKWEED

Asclepias incarnata

Swamp Milkweed

Swamp Milkweed grows in wet soil conditions and full sunlight. In its habitat, it is very important to monarch butterflies to feed and nest on, because monarchs only use milkweeds to eat and house themselves. Swamp milkweed can be a heart strengthener, and it can fight coughs, colds, asthma, dysentery, diarrhea, and lung inflammation. It is also used as an herb for nutrition. Plus, it is a native plant.
