Delsea Swimming and Diving
After a killer preseason of
practicing, the Crusader swim team started off the season with a
119-64 victory over St. James. Carey Tatum and Scott Bruck lead the
team with four first-place finishes each. Freshman--but by no means
rookie--swimmer Kathy Pustizzi beat the school record in the 200
individual medley with a time of 2:26.15 (the previous record being
2:36.2) She also took 3 first-place finishes. The Crusader dive team,
consisting of Rick Whitson, Heather Wright, and Darci Miller swept
the diving event to put an unbeatable lead on the scoreboard. The
first place relays consisted of Scott Bruck, Kathy Pustizzi, Carey
Tatum and Jim Sullivan in the medley; Jim Sullivan, Rick Whitson,
Lisa Hardy, and Amanda Larkin in the 200 yards; and Scott Bruck,
Kathy Pustizzi, Lisa Hardy, and Carey Tatum in the 400 yards. Great
Job Swimmers and keep up the hard work!!!!
