Last night in the GCIT pool, the Crusader swim team fell just a little bit short in the battle to slay the dragons. Carey Tatum and Scott Bruck lead the team with four first-place finishes each. Our divers, Rick Whitson, Darci Miller, and Stephanie Alper swept the diving event, which gave the Crusaders crucial points going into the second half. The first place relays were; in the 200yard medley relay and the 200yard freestyle relay: Kathy Pustizzi, Scott Bruck, Carey Tatum, and Jon Voll. Our Swimmer of the Week is senior Lisa Hardy. Lisa dropped 4 seconds in the 100yard butterfly to qualify for sectionals, and also dropped 5 seconds in the 100yard backstroke. It was a tough loss last night, the score within 10 points, it could have gone either way. The Crusader Fish Squad left it all in the water, though. Every race was all out, and next year, they’re going to pay. Great job swimmers. Next victim: Pitman
